Fashionista411 – Puppies, Kittens, Oh My! Things to help you keep your home clean.

Mikey the Kitty

One might think having grown up with lots of pets around that I would have given up the battle against pet hair, and the mess our little fur children leave behind. But no, as a self-proclaimed neat freak I am always looking for the latest tools to give me the advantage in the never-ending battle against pet-caused messes.

Puppies, Kittens, Oh My! Things to help you keep your home clean.

As much as we pet-owners love our little ones, we don’t always love the messes they leave behind them. On that note, here are a couple of items that will help you get and keep the upper hand in your campaign to keep your home clean.

Furry Be Gone!

Having asthma, I can’t have pet hair all over the place, especially when it comes to cat hair. A sure-fire method to eliminate pet hair is to de-shed or thin out their undercoat, leading to less fur falling out, and a nice glossy coat for Mister Ruffles the black lab. I use the FURminator, a handy-dandy brush that de-sheds ever the thickest of undercoats. It can be found in three different sizes for all your pet’s needs.

Agggh, furry pants? Again?

Something no fashionista should ever be without is a decent lint roller, and with pets it is doubly true. I can’t tell you how many times when I am getting ready for a meeting, be it on the road or just at home, that a lint roller has saved my life and wardrobe. As one never knows when your shirt will decide it likes wearing that patch of white fur, or your lovely black pants likes to roll around in the dust, I suggest placing them in your bathroom, car, and a small one in the purse for emergencies!

As fur and dust bunnies can populate any surface in our homes, it is imperative we have the proper tool to catch those little rascals. The EverCare’s Large Surface Pet Hair Pic-up 10 inches of roller power with 25 sticky layers does just that, catching and holding dust and fur balls be they from the car, or on the couch.

No, Mister Fluffers! Not the ____ again!

We, cat owners can all testify to the fact that we dearly love our pussies, even when they are being just plain difficult about their bathroom situations. Heaven forbid, we change their litter, or don’t get to clean it out soon enough! A deliciously simple way to eliminate all our worries it take the human factor out of it all together. Yes, I mean getting Hi-Tech on the problem with the use of one of those self-cleaning litter boxes. The one I like the best is The Litter-Robot, which does it all for you plain and simple. They run from about $250.00 and up, but just think of all the time saved, and money not spent on garage bags!
